Progress

A bit of progress was made on this Thanksgiving. Had 20 Marines assembled, put on 15 sets of Forgeworld shoulderpads, replaced 10 Marine bases, 3 Terminator bases and assembled a Librarian on a new base. Not too bad at all. Next up is the Forgeworld Salamanders Venerable Dreadnaught. Pictures to come when thats finished

Terminators

First unit is assembled. Thunderhammer and Stormshield Terminators in drop pod. I'm going with the Forgeworld shoulder pads on all my infantry models as well.

KR Multicase

Well it has arrived!

I must say I'm very pleased with this case. Its a bit difficult to fit 2,000 points in (as I was hoping for a single case to transport my army) but the case is fantastic. This is the standard size aluminum case. I have different sizes of foam inside but there are a very large amount of different combinations of foam to fit this case. (using half sizes and different depths for example)

The options I chose should comfortably fit a good sized 1,500 point army and the foam I chose was the pick-n-pluck style for more customization.
One of the features I found quite interesting, and practical really, was the hinges on the back of the case are supported. This is great so the hinges don't get bent and the lid stays upright. The front latches are also able to be locked and the key comes inside the case with a carry strap.

Overall I'm very happy with this case. My next KR purchase I have in mind will be the backpack two or another one of these. Definitely a 4.5 out of 5 stars from me.

Update

So I am currently awaiting a few packages from bits and pieces I've ordered. I have two sets of bases coming in for the Salamanders: one set of lava bases and one set of stone bases. I figured the mixture of the two would look quite nice throughout the army. I ordered these from www.darkartsminiatures.com I felt like stepping it up a bit with this next army so these bases should do the trick.
Lastly comes my new army transport. I ordered the standard sized aluminum case from www.krmulticase.com These transports are some of the best I've seen and I will definitely post on the case as soon as I recieve it.

Just a start

The Forgeworld shoulderpads came in much faster than I thought so I had to throw together the Terminator Sargent.
